I don't like winter very much, but I live in a climate with winter. Snow is okay. Cold sucks. I've lived through 32 winters so it's just routine.
I love riding, but I don't find much pleasure in riding in cold weather. My hand reflexes are slowed after a while. Perhaps it's because I don't have the right gear.
Also, it's like 9 degrees in Rochester, NY this week. It's too damn cold to even work in the garage. The roads are slippery than a mother right now.
I read a lot of bike mags and books to get me through. Plus, I'm using this time to make major changes to my bike so that I don't have to give up that time in the riding season.
I'm sure with the right amount of $ for the right gear, riding in winter would be more enjoyable.
I'm thinking of getting an ATV for winter kicks.
Be careful out there...
